It's not just about basketball. It's about community.

XXcel Basketball is excited to get involved in the local, national, and global community!

Local

Throughout the entire summer season, the league holds a clothing (donated to Diabetes Canada) and food drive (donated to Feed the Need) in order to help those in need living in Durham Region.

XXcel also volunteers at the Durham 1/4 Marathon in which proceeds go to The Refuge, which is a non-profit organization that provides programs for the homeless and street youth.

XXcel also has volunteer events in which league members will volunteer with local community programs such as St. Vincent's Kitchen and Simcoe Hall Settlement House.

National and Global

The XXcel League hosts an All-Star game in which all proceeds go to World Vision and Ovarian Cancer Canada

To participate in any of these events please contact Maria Crome at xxcel_basketball@hotmail.com

2010 All-Star Game

The All-Star Game held in honour of Marian Crome raised $800. XXcel donated $420 to World Vision to sponsor a child for a year and $380 to Ovarian Cancer Canada.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support two great causes!
